Upon relocation to her home state of New York in 1990, she settled on Long Island and became the Manager/Administrator of multiple Long Island real estate offices of an international real estate company for the owner/President. In 1998, Jill pursued her interest in the appraisal of real property, starting as an assistant then becoming a New York State Licensed Residential Real Estate Appraiser.
Upon joining Michael Haberman Associates, Inc. in 2000, Jill started her career as a Commercial Real Estate Appraiser. In her early years with the company, she appraised a wide range of income producing properties for Nassau County tax certiorari purposes, participated in the review of commercial property values for Nassau County’s reassessment program, reviewed appraisals and appeared at hearings for small claims assessment review proceedings where she represented the Town of Babylon Assessment Department on behalf of Michael Haberman Associates, Inc.
Her expertise has branched out to include eminent domain/condemnation appraisal work for Suffolk County projects, New York State Department of Transportation projects, the Metropolitan Transit Authority, the City of New York, and various towns and villages throughout Nassau and Suffolk Counties. These appraisals require knowledge and expertise in the effects of permanent/temporary easements, partial and full appropriations of a wide range of diverse types of properties.
